SPRING FISHING
Right after the ice comes off the lake we head for the
western basin for some of the best jig fishing you could possibly imagine. I have seen days were 100 walleye are possible
in 1 day alone. Also some of the biggest fish are caught during this time trolling this same areas. As a few weeks go by we
start night fishing around the Cleveland area for migrating walleye. Perch fishing gets well on it's way at this point
also.
SUMMER FISHING
Summer time we start heading
towards the central basin for some offshore action. Here we will find schools of walleye and steelhead mixed together. This
time of year can been a lot of fun with steelhead, the hardest fighting fish in the lake in full swing. A limit of walleye
and steelhead is very common. At this point you can find smallmouth bass fishing to be very good not to far offshore
also.
FALL FISHING
As temperatures begin to drop,
the walleye start to migrate back to shallow waters near shore, this is where you can start enjoying the great Night
Bite action again. The walleye put on the feed bag for the long winter to come, and this means HEAVY weights start showing
up. At this point we fish as long as the weather will allow us to. There will be times we fish until the beginning of January.
It can get cold, but for the Die Hard angler it can be very rewarding!
